About Skills London
Skills London 2012 is the careers and skills event for young people from across the Capital. Focusing on visitors aged 15-24 the event will attract 30,000 individuals over two days.
Founded on the phenomenal success of Skills London 2008 and Skills London 2010 which attracted over 100,000 visitors and showcased opportunities including apprenticeships, education, training, employment, internships and other options. Skills London 2012 take place at ExCeL London in November 2012. The event is presented by London First and Prospects Events.
The key to Skills London 2012’s success will be the high level of interactivity enabling exhibitors and visitors to come together, giving visitors the chance to have a go at the careers on offer and organisations the opportunity to explain their career routes and job opportunities.
By engaging the visitors with focused taster activities exhibitors can access London’s future workforce; inspiring them, entertaining them and most importantly informing them about the genuine opportunities available.
Visitors can try lots of the hands-on activities.
The all abilities/all ambitions approach delivers a diverse range of visitors. Exhibiting organisations are able to discuss apprenticeships, training, jobs as well as college and university courses. Many visitors arrive knowing very little about the careers they are interested in, or which industry sectors to consider. The holistic approach of Skills London combining educational institutions and employers enable visitors to find out about careers and the training required all under one roof.
